The Position
The Field Reimbursement Managers are customer-facing staff who leverage their expertise and experience to assist customers in understanding and addressing access challenges. They conduct presentations to small and large groups in various settings and often work face to face with providers’ office staff -- educating staff on access services and solutions specific to a product and therapeutic area, and consulting on reimbursement matters. These services play an important role in customer relationships as they facilitate access to important patient therapies.
The Field Reimbursement Manager must regularly monitor the changes to nationwide and regional coverage and policy, as they serve as the experts in this area. Up to 80 percent travel is required for the position and will often be dedicated to a specific region of the country. Necessary technology is provided in order to perform the duties required. Field Market Access staff must live in close proximity to a major airport.
Responsibilities
Respond to requests for site visits, work with field staff to understand account needs and site visit objectives, and work with other contacts to schedule meetings, as needed.
Establish, develop, and maintain strong working relationships with customers.
Develop presentations for site visits, trainings, presentations, and other meetings, as appropriate.
Develop content in keeping with requests and needs. Conduct research using hotline data, team resources, and other sources, including primary or secondary sources, as needed, to develop content for presentations and prepare for presentations.
Deliver presentations to customers on site visits, via audio conferences, and by other means. Prepare for presentations, present materials, answer questions, identify issues for further follow-up, and conduct follow up, as needed, with accounts.
Participate in company meetings as appropriate. Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings and calls.
Develop and conduct product specific trainings for staff including new hires, refresher trainings, ongoing project and technical trainings. Identify program trends and opportunities for intervention with payers and provide recommendations to management.
Prepare and/or review reports.
Conduct research for and provide technical assistance pertaining to consulting engagements and hub programs.
Manage travel schedule and travel arrangements.
Prepare and submit appropriate expense reports in a timely fashion.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
The Field Reimbursement Manager will hold a Bachelor's degree or evidence of continual work toward a degree strongly preferred. A degree may be required to work on some of our client programs and needs.
Candidates will have strong verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills, client savvy, knowledge of business protocol, time management and organizational skills.
Proven leadership ability.
Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to “think on his/her feet” and suggest alternatives and solutions.
Strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated analytical skills.
Ability to work independently.
Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record and be available to drive during the day and nighttime.
Must live within a reasonable driving distance from a major airport.
