Position Summary

The Tech Consulting team is a multifunctional team within the European Display Organisation (EDO)!
Our mission is to offer numerous support activities to the 15 Samsung subsidiaries of Europe, ranging from product launch activities, to technical sales support, to partner education / AV consulting and demonstration of Samsung products at various occasions and supporting AV system integrators installing Samsung AV solutions.
Joining the team, you will become part of a group of AV specialists, dedicated and enthusiastic about technology, focused on offering Samsung customers the best technical solutions. Training and encouraging a strong team spirit are important components of the team!

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

  • Working with customers all over Europe, the role focuses on ensuring that Samsung video displays met the premium quality standard the company offers.

  • By working through quality control check lists, conducting calibration tasks, and check ups of firmware versions the Field Quality Engineer ensures that the customer has the best experience with Samsung Smart Signage Products.

  • Furthermore, you will support the network of Samsung ASC and Service Partners delivering Samsung LED Premium Services the company sells as part of “Blue Glove” services across Europe, helping grow additional revenue through service sales.

  • Audits of existing and new ASC across Europe

  • Close collaboration with Samsung´s European Customer Service Organisation

  • Champion and grow Samsung´s base of service partners

What we need for this role

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

Applicants for this role are professionals (demonstrated ability with Digital Signage / LED Signage) with a consistent record of success in the AV industry.

Key proficiencies that will support your success in the role of a Commissioning Engineer at EDO include:

  • Application engineering experience in the AV industry, especially LED Displays

  • Preferably Customer Service Experience in AV in a similar role (different industry are welcome)

  • Understanding of auditing and qualifying service providers and service quality management

  • Project management proficiencies gained during AV projects, ideally display roll-outs

  • Deep understanding of the challenges of installations of Outdoor and Indoor displays in different environments and installation scenarios such as building facades, public spaces or passenger terminals

  • Engineering skills in the field of electrical design or mechanical design are an advantage

  • Conceptual understanding for ventilation needs for Displays in Outdoor environments

  • Advanced understanding of LED Display control systems and calibration methods

  • Experience in technical customer service roles

  • Great communication skills allowing you to participate and host technical meetings with customer and Samsung system integrators

  • Worked successfully in different countries across Europe

  • The ability to work with a limited amount of supervision

  • Willingness to travel in Europe on a regular basis, 50-60% travel time
