Job Duties and Responsibilities

Boost Mobile is seeking a Field Operations Manager to support the buildout and performance of our 5G wireless network. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring that assigned network nodes and field teams are operating effectively, safely, and in alignment with operational standards.
The Field Operations Manager provides day-to-day guidance for site readiness, restoral, and preventative maintenance activities across a defined region. The position leads a team of field engineers and coordinates with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues, optimize network performance, and support the launch and maintenance of wireless infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage network support integration, including site prep, troubleshooting, tiger team deployment, and vendor coordination for incident resolution.
- Supervise field engineers, ensuring staffing alignment, technician training, safety compliance, and operational discipline.
- Leverage tools like ServiceNow, Salesforce Field Service, and NexSysOne for ticketing, work tracking, and procurement.
- Analyze operational data and KPIs (e.g., MTTR, site alarms, first-time fix rate) to identify trends, close performance gaps, and improve service delivery.
- Conduct financial analysis on labor, fleet, and materials to inform decisions; forecast workload and resource needs for future projects.
- Act as a liaison across field, RF, transport, and development teams; communicate field updates to leadership and participate in forums to share best practices.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field)
- 10+ years of wireless network operations experience, with direct experience in wireless infrastructure or large-scale programs
- 3-5 years of team leadership experience, including scheduling, coaching, and performance management
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using operations and analytics tools including ServiceNow, Salesforce Field Service, Microsoft Office, and G Suite
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple field priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to clearly convey technical and operational topics to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to coach others in troubleshooting, process improvement, and escalation protocols
- Must be able to travel up to 75% and work flexible hours as needed to support field operations

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $83,950.00/Year - $119,900.00/Year
