Job Title: Field Operations Manager

Location: Mexico City, Mexico

Job Summary 

The Field Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing service delivery within the country, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This role encompasses reactive repairs, planned installations, upgrades, and other project-related activities. The position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage financial performance while fostering a high-performing team culture. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Leadership and Team Development 

  • Drive employee development through structured training, mentoring, and career growth initiatives. 

  • Set clear performance objectives, conduct evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback. 

  • Promote teamwork and maintain open, effective communication across all levels.

Financial and Operational Management 

  • Manage a multi-million-dollar P&L, ensuring financial objectives are met. 

  • Apply sound financial principles to establish and maintain profitable service practices. 

  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics through accurate capacity and availability planning. 

Customer Relationship Management 

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction across all accounts in the region. 

  • Address service concerns promptly and deliver proactive and reactive technical support for rapid issue resolution. 

  • Ensure timely execution of implementation services and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). 

Sales and Business Growth 

  • Support sales initiatives through bid reviews, customer presentations, and contract negotiations. 

  • Provide guidance to the sales organization on service-related matters. 

Supplier and Contract Management 

  • Oversee maintenance contract management, including SLAs, outsourcing agreements, and exception handling. 

  • Manage regional suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and service commitments. 

Performance and Change Management 

  • Execute the performance management process, including goal setting, evaluation, and development planning. 

  • Apply change management principles to introduce and manage organizational changes effectively. 

  • Motivate and recognize employees through timely communication and reward programs. 

Strategic Leadership 

  • Demonstrate strong business leadership skills in a strategic environment. 

  • Establish networks and relationships at all organizational levels to drive collaboration and success. 

 

Basic Requirements 

  • 10–12+ years of relevant experience in field operations or service delivery management. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related business or technical discipline, or equivalent education and experience. 

  • Advanced proficiency in English and the local language. 

  • Proven track record of successful leadership and team management, including remote workforce oversight. 

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L responsibilities. 

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. 

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification or training highly preferred.
