About the Role
As a Field Marketing Specialist (FMS), you will support the Field Marketing Manager (FMM) in building the local face of Red Bull in Alexandria in the most relevant way and in line with the global and national strategies and priorities. You will work with the FMM to build strong local networks including opinion-leaders and key influencers both online (social media) and offline. You will be primarily responsible for driving Red Bull’s marketing strategies through the management of consumer collecting programs: specifically Student Marketers program. In addition, you will manage the execution of specific Red Bull sport, culture, and athlete projects & events, maximizing communications output and fostering relationships with opinion leaders. The Field Marketing Specialist is constantly out "in the field" to make things happen, this is not an "office" job.
Job Description
Consumer Collecting/ Student Marketer Program Management
- Recruit, train and manage a team of student marketeers (university students) in Alexandria region to make Red Bull an integral and relevant part of a student’s life.
- Coach, motivate and mentor Student Marketeers (SMs) to ensure a consistently positive consumer experience, continually reinforce best practices and delivery against the defined strategy.
- Understand the student landscape and build tailored campus plans for each university in line with the national student marketing strategy.
- Manage the day to-day operations of the SMs ensuring all key performance indicators are met (project/activation targets, can targets, product knowledge) and contributing to greater cut through with students.
- Communicate clear expectations and guidelines for Student Marketeers to effectively plan and deliver on infusing Red Bull into student life during key moments (study, sport, party, etc.), using a “from students for students” approach to create a credible brand image within universities and win students as loyal Red Bull consumers.
- Set clear goals together with the Consumer Collecting Manager/Specialist (CCM / CCS) and FMM to drive trial that engages new users (e.g. freshmen & women) and expands the consumer base within universities in your region.
Strategic Direction and Rightness of Brand Priorities
- Work closely with the FMM on the implementation of the field strategy and on defining ideas and programs to build brand image and increase understanding of the product functionality on a local level.
- Drive consumer trial through activities in line with brand values, international guidelines and expectations to win consumers.
- Drive relevance across a variety of consumption occasions and moments of need through tailored messaging, amplification of occasion campaigns and activating the right big moments in the region.
- Work cross functionally, managing internal & external requests in line with regional priorities.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Create and deliver a regional marketing plan in line with the national strategy to drive product trial.
- Initiate, organize, and supervise sales executions that ensure perfect distribution and visibility at and around campus.
- Provide the FMM with monthly reports.
Qualifications
- Experience in a marketing related field is highly desired.
- Strong passion towards the brand.
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to seamlessly blend in with an extremely diverse audience.
- Strong leadership, initiative, and communications skills.
- Ability to meet strict and demanding deadlines.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
- Must be a resident of Alexandria.
- Valid Driver’s License with the ability & willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
