Job Purpose:
The Field Marketing Officer will be responsible for implementing and executing on-ground marketing campaigns to create brand awareness, generate leads, and drive product uptake. You will work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to support business growth through well-executed field marketing strategies.

Job Title: Field Marketing Officer
Reports to: Regional Field Marketing Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Watu Credit in the field and implement the company's marketing strategy.
- Develop a deep understanding of Watu's products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with current clients to encourage repeat business.
- Generate new leads by proactively engaging with potential clients during field visits.
- Conduct detailed product presentations and handle customer inquiries and feedback.
- Follow up on leads and convert them into paying customers.
- Provide timely reports and insights on field activities, including competitor analysis and market trends.
- Organize and participate in marketing events such as workshops, promotions, and roadshows.
- Support the marketing team in the rollout of product and service campaigns.
- Conduct market research to determine effective outreach strategies.
- Maintain professional stakeholder relationships, including with dealerships, stage chairpersons, and community leaders.
- Ensure responsible use of company resources and maintain accurate records of marketing expenses.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a field or marketing executive role.
- Strong knowledge of modern marketing techniques and commercial trends.
- Excellent Presentation, interpersonal skills with ability to communicate Luganda, or other widely spoken languages around the region so as to effectively engage with the local communities.
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
- Passion for sales and customer engagement.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Good organizational and project management skills.
- Motorcycle riding skills with a valid Class A permit is an added advantage.
