The internet runs the world. We’re rebuilding its infrastructure.
The Role
This role focuses on executing field marketing strategies, managing events and logistics, and supporting sales through impactful marketing initiatives.
Summary Generated by Built In

Field marketing is one of the most important levers we have to turn early market traction into scalable revenue. In this role, you’ll be the connective tissue between sales, marketing, and the market—building and executing programs that drive pipeline, engage target accounts, and grow our brand presence in regions dominated by legacy vendors. You won’t just be running events—you’ll be building the field marketing playbook from scratch. That means testing formats, optimizing for conversion, and helping our sales and channel teams create repeatable momentum in their territories. Expect to drive programs across multiple industries—such as retail, financial services, insurance, public sector, and healthcare—leading both third-party and Meter-hosted events that shape Meter’s presence in key markets through tailored regional strategies

We’ve seen that our model works, but without dedicated field marketers aligned to specific regions, we can’t meet the growing demand for localized events, strategic conference activations, or partner-led engagement. This role is essential to ensuring our sales and channel teams have the support they need to engage customers, close deals, and expand into new verticals. You’ll be a strategic growth partner—embedded with the field and working in lockstep to turn territory-specific needs into impactful marketing execution. If you’re motivated by speed, ownership, and outcomes, this is a high-impact opportunity to help define what great field marketing looks like at Meter.

What success looks like
  • Execute our current event calendar with excellence, raising the bar on our presence at top industry events for the direct customer audience.

  • Effectively manage all event logistics, production, venue sourcing, budget tracking, marketing campaigns, sales enablement, content development, ROI analysis, and audience acquisition.

  • Delight Meter customers and prospects, with a guest-first approach to creating field events and experiences that bring the Meter brand and product to life.

What your day-to-day will look like
  • Serve as the primary field marketing contact for the sales team, ensuring event strategies directly align with account priorities and pipeline goals.

  • Work cross functionally with sales leadership, sales/channel managers, creative/brand design, growth marketing, partner marketing, and product marketing.

  • Leverage larger event presences and marketing campaigns wherever possible to amplify results in your specific region. Bring the best practices of the team and localize them for your territory.

  • Roll up post-event results, distill insights, and adjust plans to continuously improve outcomes.

  • Support onsite for events in your region and also provide support during all-hands-on-deck events such as MeterUp & SKO.

Who you are

We’re looking for a builder, who can own all strategy and execution, and who's motivated by impact.

  • You've scaled event programs before, but now miss the thrill and ownership of startup life.

  • You're eager to roll up your sleeves, get scrappy, and build something with your expertise.

  • You see events as a strategic growth lever, energized by the challenge of transforming ambitious ideas into measurable pipeline growth and stronger brand visibility.

  • You're creative, collaborative, and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments, bringing clarity to ambiguity while achieving measurable results.

Why Meter?

The internet runs the world. Every purchase you make, video call you join, it's all packets flowing through networks. But those networks haven’t changed for decades. They’re brittle, complex, and surprisingly hard to set up in an enterprise space.

We started Meter to build better networks. We had to build everything from the ground-up: designing and building our own enterprise hardware, intuitive software, and streamlined operations to deliver great outcomes for our customers. Today, we build and deploy these networks at scale. Ambitious companies and enduring institutions like Bridgewater, Lyft, Reddit, rely on Meter to keep their thousands of employees and locations online and productive.

Our bet with Meter is simple: we will all use the internet more than we do today. We believe we have the definitive networking stack in place to enable business to do so as seamlessly and reliably as any modern utility.

Compensation

  • The estimated base salary for this role is between $130,000 - $175,000.

  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter's equity plan.

What We Do

Our bet with Meter is simple: we’ll all use the internet more than we do today.

That future depends on networking infrastructure—the invisible plumbing powering every application, space, and data center. But today’s infrastructure is dated and inconsistent, so we’re rebuilding it from the ground up.

We design the hardware, write the firmware, build the software, deploy the networks, and run support.
It’s a single, integrated networking solution that scales from offices, warehouses, and large campuses to data centers—and today, it’s powering some of the world’s most ambitious organizations.

Why Work With Us

We’re a group of kind and ambitious people who want to do the best work of their career. The work we do across hardware, software, and operations is hard and long-term oriented. We are colleagues who view fast-paced and changing environments as an opportunity—not a bug—and find the agency to move things forward.
