About the Job: 

We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and results-driven Field Marketing & Events Manager to lead our field marketing initiatives, event strategy and help drive pipeline growth across Tailscale’s global sales teams. 

This individual will be responsible for creating and executing integrated marketing strategies, engaging prospects, execution for third party conferences and Tailscale organized field events, scaling and executing our multi-city roadshow and supporting the overall growth of our brand. The ideal candidate will have experience in field marketing within the DevOps industry, a deep understanding of enterprise sales dynamics, and a passion for driving success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive field marketing strategies to drive pipeline growth, support sales objectives, and increase brand awareness within targeted enterprise segments.
  • Provide leadership, strategy, and vision for Tailscale’s execution of field events and conferences that ties into key business objectives
  • Collaborate with our sales teams to identify and prioritize key markets and accounts, develop targeted marketing campaigns, and support account-based marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze sales pipeline health and campaign performance with KPIs to optimize marketing strategies, enhance targeting, and improve overall funnel performance.
  • Manage regional events, including trade shows, conferences, and executive events. 
  • Leverage digital marketing channels, including social media, email, and content marketing, to reach target audiences and generate qualified leads. 
  • Effectively manage and enable a team of global field marketers to plan and execute against key business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience with a proven track record of driving pipeline growth and supporting territory health through innovative marketing strategies and tactics.
  • 5+ years of event management and field marketing experience
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience using marketing analytics tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Looker).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with global, remote teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Willingness and excitement to travel as needed to support regional marketing events and initiatives. Travel will be required up to 25% of the year.
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple projects independently from start to finish
  • Hunger to meaningfully grow Tailscale’s qualified sales leads, customer conversions, and brand awareness among technical audiences
  • Interest in learning more about complex, highly technical products


It’s nice if you have:

  • Experience working at B2B SaaS or cloud companies
  • Track record of leading field and event marketing for some of the biggest tech industry events (e.g., Amazon’s re:Invent)
  • Experience or a perspective on field marketing programs outside North America, specifically in Europe.

$118,000$147,000 USD
