The Role: 

The Field Applications Engineering Manager leads a team responsible for driving the promotion and application of existing products into a dynamic and growing industry. Key to this support is a thorough understanding of our products, the industries we serve, and our customers. That understanding is used to drive direct communication between the customers, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and other internal departments, working directly with team members to support their assigned areas of interest in alignment with BU objectives and commercial strategies. This role will be based at the Colorado Springs Manufacturing Center of Excellence. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Coordinate field technical support for application related problems of Entegris products. 

• Generate and/or present various technical documentation (evaluation reports, analysis, industry studies, Entegris generated data) related to a product or application for a sales or strategic opportunity.  

• Communicate and collaborate closely with Sales management and team members. 

• Drive a team to support Account Management in the execution of BU product strategy in the field for targeted territories and markets to capture new or maintain existing business. 

• Participate in regular meetings with the customers as needed, the internal teams (AM, FAE, Sales, BU) and share customer/Entegris feedback, measure progress, drive a solution and/or enhance communication for product evaluations and application issues. 

• Maintain a high level of application understanding (including competition, application development and products) to give recommendations on current product issues, future product trends and application demands. 

• Drive programs that develop a high level of team technical acumen, intimacy and confidence with both customers and other Entegris employees. 

• Escalate and provide problem solving support for the teams. 

• Own special projects as needed in support of BU/Engineering activities. 

• Develop team members through coaching, mentoring and regular feedback.  

What We Seek: 

•  Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as, but not limited to, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Chemical or Materials Engineering or an equivalent combination of training and experience; or a demonstrated capability to perform the duties of the job. 

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a multidisciplinary company customer facing role is an advantage.  

• Basic mechanical drafting experiences in layout capability. CAD (Solid Works) capability is a plus. 

• Capable of traveling and working independently in a variety of settings. 

• Collaborative, team oriented, strong ability to work well with others.  

• Very good proficiency using standard suite of Microsoft Office products.

• Customer service mentality with both internal and external stakeholders. 

•  Ability to solve and communicate, both verbally and written, complex problems where judgment is required in resolving and making recommendations. 

• Working knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of common manufacturing technologies and parts fabrication techniques. 

• Flexibility to adapt to work environment, work force, and customers’ needs. 

• Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and relates process. 

• English skills - able to communicate effectively through conversation, oral presentations, and written reports. 

• Strong critical thinking skills, creativity, and curiosity. 

• Positive and consultative demeanor with strong work ethic and the ability to interact with technical and non-technical resources 

• Knowledge and experience in safe working practices for both laboratory and wafer manufacturing environments.

• Salary in the $155,000K-195,000K/year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
