Do you have experience in upstream bioprocessing, using bioreactors and fermentation technology? Are you looking to leave the lab and use your scientific knowledge and strong communication skills in a commercial role?
If so, this is a great opportunity for a Field Application Specialist to join the Application Services Team to support clients resolve technical issues, improve their processes, and use our products in the best way. You will be ideally familiar with upstream technologies with a focus on fermentation/cell culture bioreactors in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Your territory will primarily cover the Nordics region. You will be based from home with up to 50% travel required in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland and the UK, and some occasional travel within other European countries, so ideally you will be located close to a major airport such as Copenhagen Kastrup.
Grow with us – Your Responsibilities
Offering product expertise, application knowledge and technical support to customers in upstream technologies ie.: fermentation/cell culture bioreactors
Preparing and conducting technical presentations, demonstrations, hands-on trainings, trials and troubleshooting expertise to customers
Closely collaborate with the Sales teams to support various accounts
Participate in Marketing activities, such as new product launches.
Providing feedback internally on market requirements
Proactively engaging with existing customers to identify training needs
What will convince us
Minimum Bachelors’ degree in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related discipline, although Masters’ or PhD advantageous.
Previous experience in developing and troubleshooting bioreactor processes
Practical experience in operating bioreactors in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, hands on experience with Sartorius fermenters would be advantageous
Understanding of upstream processes, troubleshooting, optimisation
Experience in training others on using bioreactors would be beneficial
Strong customer focus with great communication skills
Highly organised and capable of planning own schedule
Team player, able to interact with people across different functions internationally, whilst being comfortable working independently
Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve technical issues
Demonstrate the ability to present data, findings, and recommendations to customers
