How will you make an impact?
The Application Engineer will be responsible for application development to support strategic growth in the Pharmaceutical sector and other market segment in the Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division. The position will require frequent interaction with various groups within the company, including Product Marketing, R&D, product support, commercial teams, demo labs, as well as our customers. This position will be reporting to the Business Manager-LCMS.
What will you do?
Develop LC-MS methods/workflow required in Pharma market specifically Nitrosamines, E&L, Impurity profiling, Cleaning validations and 2D LCMS workflow for high resolution separations. Knowledge of other market segment like food and environment desired
Design and execute experiments to support new application notes development
Support collaborations with key opinion leaders from application perspective and leverage data/results from such collaborations for marketing collateral
Publish technical/application notes, posters, peer-reviewed articles and various marketing collateral for Pharma markets
Attend scientific conferences/tradeshows to support various marketing activities
Train sales and/or customers on our workflow and deliver key product positioning information along with complete workflow solutions
Interact with the global commercial teams to support pre- and post- sales requirements
Qualifications
How will you get here?
MSc/Ph.D degree in Science (chemistry, biology or related discipline)
Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on LCMS (QQQ experience is must) experience and expertise in small pharmamolecules method and applications development desirable
Experience in Q-Tof will be preferred
Strong domain knowledge of Pharma analytical industries is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
High comfort level of interacting, discussing, and presenting to internal/external customers
Ability to travel 25-50%
