Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Manager that directly and through staff, manages and coordinates the operational activities for the Fiduciary Review Group - Administrative Review team. Ensures quality service and effective securities operations activities for all supported internal and external customers. Accomplishes results through the effective management of staff that may range from lower level non-exempt through exempt level professionals. Administers corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Participates in the preparation of the department's budget, and is accountable for managing expenses and actively contributing to the achievement of department net income goals. Proactively manages operational risks associated with span of responsibility, including the identification of control gaps and the design of operational controls to mitigate risks and financial exposure to the organization. Participates in the review and recommendation of operational systems and procedures affecting assigned units, and coordinating system conversions from an operations perspective.

Job Highlights

The Fiduciary Review Group (FRG) is responsible for completing administrative account reviews (both initial and periodic) for Personal Trust accounts. As a manager of the FRG Administrative Review Team, you will:

  • Manage the administrative review team of individual contributors (10 – 15 direct reports; provide guidance to and oversight for entire team of 17-20);

  • Oversee continued development of team members including monthly 1x1 meetings;

  • Manage assignment of workloads to team members;

  • Lead monthly team meetings to communicate updates and changes that affect the FRG team;

  • Handle questions from BL partners;

  • Be a resource and make decisions as necessary for FRG team to address questions during the administrative review process;

  • Have thorough knowledge of Personal Trust procedures and understand review process;

  • Represent FRG at meetings with Business Line partners and leadership and identify potential issues that affect or could affect FRG admin review process;

  • Identify potential risks and escalate for discussion or resolution as appropriate;

  • Create and present training materials for reviewers;

  • Run various reports on weekly/monthly cadence as appropriate;

  • Promote consistency of review process across team;

  • Troubleshoot or escalate issues that arise with systems and processes;

  • Drive team initiatives; and

  • Address ad hoc items as they arise or are assigned.

  • This position is expected to meet or exceed onsite work expectations for hub-based employees (60%+ of available work days/month in the office.)

  

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- Seven or more years of experience in trust and securities operational functions
- Five to seven years of management experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Advanced knowledge of trust and securities operational functions, systems, procedures, products and services
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles which directly affect Wealth Management & Securities Services business lines and clients
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent supervisory and management skills, including a well-developed knowledge of human resources
- Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks
- Additional three or more years experience managing Managers preferred

Location Expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00
