General Description:
The ideal candidate for this position will take an active role in a team performing advanced R&D in next-generation quantum electronic materials and devices. Through collaboration and innovation, this position will contribute to research leading to a prosperous, secure and sustainable future.
Essential Duties:
Work closely with senior technical staff to support materials characterization, process development, and failure analysis efforts. Present ideas and results in effective technical presentations and reports, writing technical papers, and contributing to research proposals.
Required Skills:
2+ years of experience with FIBSEM is desired.
Expertise with focused ion beam scanning electron microscopy (FIB/SEM) for imaging, compositional analysis using energy dispersive x-ray (EDX) spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy sample preparation.
Experience with top-down delayering and circuit editing experience a plus.
Experience with TEM is a plus.
Experience in semiconductor process development and failure analysis of semiconductor devices is a plus.
A history of productive research as evident in work history, publications, patents or presentations is a plus. Industry experience is a plus.
Experience with data handling software such as excel, JMP, python, or IGOR is desired.
Required Education:
B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
Special Requirements:
U.S. citizenship status required.
Ability to obtain security clearance required.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,715 - $150,895 + bonus + benefits.
