We are now seeking a passionate, driven Fibre Process Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview:

As a Fibre Process Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the development, optimisation, and production of advanced specialty optical fibres. You will work closely with experienced engineers in cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to the latest innovations in fibre processing, manufacturing techniques, and quality assurance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-tech engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and optimisation of fibre production processes.
  • Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving process-related issues.
  • Perform quality control checks and data analysis to ensure process efficiency and product consistency.
  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to bring new fibre technologies from concept to full production.
  • Contribute to process improvements and continuous development initiatives.
  • Document processes, results, and project outcomes, and provide regular reports to senior engineers and managers.
  • Participate in process trials and contribute to technical problem-solving discussions.

About You:

We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic graduate with a passion for engineering and a strong interest in fibre technologies. You will be eager to learn, adaptable to change, and confident in working both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Requirements:

  • A relevant degree (BSc or higher) in Engineering (Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or similar) or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for continuous learning and professional development.

Desirable:

  • Any relevant internships or work experience in fibre technology, materials engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with high tech manufacturing processes, particularly in fibre, photonics or similar industries.
  • Experience with data analysis, process simulation, or SQL / Python software (beneficial but not required).
