The Opportunity
You will play a vital role in conducting failure analysis and circuit edit work on semiconductor integrated circuits. Leveraging your expertise with advanced microscopy techniques, including Focused Ion Beam (FIB) and Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), you'll contribute directly to the quality and reliability of our products. This position requires a deep understanding of semiconductor physics, materials science, and analytical techniques. This is a 2nd shift position, offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
What You'll Do

Perform routine failure analysis and circuit edits on semiconductor integrated circuits using dual-beam Focused Ion Beam microscope and field emission scanning electron microscope (SEM).

Prepare samples for and conduct analysis using various microscopy techniques (SEM, FIB-SEM, STEM, TEM).

Collaborate with lab engineers and managers to define and implement effective analytical methods.

Meet analysis cycle time expectations and deliver high-quality results.

Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements.

Actively participate in company-wide continuous improvement initiatives.

Serve as a subject matter expert, documenting procedures and training new team members.

Maintain FIB/SEM equipment, including software alignment, routine maintenance (flash, plasma clean), and troubleshooting.

Manage consumables inventory and ensure timely ordering.
What You Will Need
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.

3+ years of hands-on experience with FIB-based circuit editing, including experience with various chemistries.

Demonstrated expertise in SEM, FIB-SEM cross-section preparation, and imaging.

Experience with STEM sample preparation and imaging within a FIB tool.

Knowledge of TEM sample preparation using dual-beam FIB.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE

Experience with TEM imaging.

Familiarity with FIB/SEM system maintenance and troubleshooting.
Working Hours:
2nd Shift (3:30 PM - 11:30 PM, Monday - Friday)
