Job Description

AIM is currently seeking a Ferrous Receiving Laborer for its Drummondville site. The position offers a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., as well as Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

Reporting to the Site Director, the Ferrous Receiver Laborer actively participates in the receiving, sorting, and shipping of ferrous metals.

What you will be responsible for :

  • Welcoming customers courteously and applying established procedures
  • Unloading, sorting, and inspecting ferrous metals received on site
  • Identifying different types of metals and assessing their quality
  • Operate industrial machinery and tools as needed (loader, forklift, torch, etc.);
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the worksite
  • Performing any other related tasks to support operations

Qualifications

To join our team :

  • Experience operating a forklift (an asset);
  • You hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license;
  • Experience in metal recycling and knowledge of different types of metals (assets);
  • Ability to work in a dusty, industrial environment;
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions;
  • Excellent physical condition and ability to perform manual labor;
  • Strong commitment to working safely at all times;
  • Responsible, resourceful, punctual, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team.

Skills Required
