Trouw Nutrition is seeking Feed Mill Operators to be a part of feeding the future in our Chilliwack plant!

About The Role:  Our Feed Mill Operator contributes to the production of high-quality livestock feed through the operations of bulk receiving, mixing, pelleting, and shipping activities.

Responsibilities: 

• Operate production machinery

• Ensure quality and food safety standards are met

• Meet or exceed production targets

• Identify areas to optimize production performance

• Execute small maintenance tasks and repair work on production equipment

• Record data on production orders and activities

• Promote awareness of any unsafe situation and take appropriate action 

Skills and Expertise 

Qualifications: 

• 2 - 3 years manufacturing experience an asset

• Excellent computer skills – Gamers welcome!

• Forklift certification preferred

• Boiler certificate is preferred (at least Class 5)

Expectation from the Role: 

• Ability & willingness to work shifts and overtime

• Ability to lift 25 kgs regularly

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills

• Ability to focus on details within a fast-paced environment

• Team player and coachable

• Exposure to the elements, noise and dust, and working at heights
