Position Summary

The Federal Work Study position is a part-time, student worker opportunity with National University.  The students will provide general support and assistance to their selected department and will work on special projects as assigned and in alignment with the student’s stated interests and career goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Become adept at using InfoEd Global’s SPIN Funding Opportunity database.
  • Identify grant funding opportunities from government and non-government agencies.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the CRI staff.
  • Provide project management assistance to the CRI staff.
  • Learn the funding proposal research, preparation, and submission process.
  • Maintain positive relationships with staff, faculty, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be a current National University student who has completed a current 2025-2026 FAFSA.
  • Ability to work up to 15 hours per week with a varied schedule.

Technical / Functional Skills: 

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to complete projects in a timely manner.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.  Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position. The minimum salary will be offered based on the minimum exemption threshold based on state of residency.
