Federal Work Study position duties may vary depending on work location. Please note that you can apply for multiple positions, but can only work in one department.
Job Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
- Assist with administrative duties and participate in college committee work
- Liaise with external community members and consult on matters related to engagement and belonging
- Support faculty by preparing or organizing instructional materials
- Assist students during hands-on training and skills practice activities
- Maintain an organized and safe learning environment under faculty supervision
- Monitor, track, and manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment
- Distribute training materials and equipment during class sessions
- Assist with demonstrations, projects, and classroom preparation
- Provide logistical and instructional support during small group activities
- Provide peer tutoring in basic writing skills, including sentence structure, paragraph development, organization, and source utilization
- Conduct one-on-one and group tutoring or mentoring sessions
- Maintain accurate tutoring and mentoring logs for data collection and reporting
- Participate in all required peer tutor/mentor trainings
- Attend scheduled class sessions for face-to-face or synchronous courses
- Welcome students to campus and assist with navigating campus life and student resources
- Refer students to the PASS program when appropriate
- Create, post, track, and report on social media content
- Perform cooking, food preparation, customer service, and cleanup duties
