Job Title: Federal Solutions Product Line Manager (PLM)
Location: Washington, DC | Plano, TX | Remote (U.S. only)
Ribbon Communications is seeking a Federal Solutions Product Line Manager to lead product strategy and execution for real-time communications solutions within the U.S. Federal market. This critical leadership role resides in our Cloud and Edge Business Unit and focuses on delivering innovative, cloud-enabled, and virtualized solutions that meet strict government compliance standards.
In this role, you will own the product lifecycle from concept to market launch and work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, and external partners to bring winning solutions to U.S. government agencies. You’ll help drive the evolution of Ribbon’s Federal portfolio, ensuring FIPS 140 compliance and maintaining listings such as the Approved Product List (APL) for U.S. Department of Defense use.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate Federal customer needs into clear product requirements
Define and execute product roadmap, including feature prioritization and pricing strategy
Drive RFP responses and coordinate field trials
Collaborate with internal and third-party development teams to deliver integrated solutions
Lead sales training and product evangelism across the organization
Represent Ribbon in analyst briefings, industry events, and public forums
Required Qualifications:
5+ years in Product Management, with a focus on Federal or public sector markets
Proven experience delivering real-time communications or cloud-based solutions
Deep understanding of government compliance standards (e.g., FIPS 140, DoD APL)
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or technical master’s preferred
