Who You Are: (Job Summary)
This Customer Security Program Manager position is responsible for overseeing the execution, coordination, and continuous improvement of customer-facing security programs in support of QTS Federal delivery. This role integrates program security management, security compliance, and vendor coordination to ensure seamless delivery of security services aligned with contractual, regulatory, and operational requirements.
The Customer Security Program Manager also assists the Facility Security Officer in maintaining a QTS Federal NISPOM-compliant industrial security program.
What You Will Do: (Job Responsibilities)
Customer Security Program Management
- Lead and support customer security program reviews, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and operational requirements.
- Coordinate and participate in recurring customer security syncs and status meetings.
- Identify program gaps, staffing shortfalls, and operational risks; develop and track mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate security staffing discussions with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure adequate coverage and compliance.
Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Services & Vendor Management
- Coordinate the delivery and execution of ESS across customer programs.
- Lead vendor sourcing activities, including market research, evaluation, and onboarding coordination.
- Manage procurement-related activities to support security program execution.
- Oversee staffing agreements, including contract renewals, modifications, and transitions.
Financial & Contractual Coordination
- Track vendor invoices and ensure accuracy against contracted services and deliverables.
- Coordinate invoice approvals and partner with finance to ensure timely payment processing.
- Establish and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in alignment with procurement requirements.
- Resolve discrepancies related to billing, services, or contract terms to maintain program continuity.
Assist With Facility Security Officer Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Federal Security and Compliance and the Facility Security Officer in administering and maintaining a NISPOM-compliant industrial security program.
- Serve as a designated backup to the FSO when required.
- Assist in implementing and managing security requirements for classified programs, including DD254s and customer directives.
- Provide security support to customer programs and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and mission success.
- Support personnel security activities and systems (e.g., DISS, NBIS, NISS), as applicable.
- Assist in security audits, self-inspections, and DCSA engagements, including corrective action tracking and continuous improvement.
Program Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the development and refinement of security policies, procedures, and operational workflows.
- Ensure security program activities align with QTS Federal compliance requirements and customer expectations.
- Identify opportunities to improve program efficiency, reporting, and service delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need to Be Successful: (Required Qualifications, Education, Experience, Certifications)
- 7+ years of experience in industrial security, program management, vendor management, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of the NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117) and industrial security requirements.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement processes.
- Familiarity with security systems (e.g., DISS, NISS, NBIS, SWFT).
- US Citizenship is Required.

- FSO Certification or progress toward certification.

The estimated pay range for this role, if based in Virginia, is:
$90,716.18 - 138,729.22Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Virginia only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Virginia with compensation that aligns with your location. The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
