About the role
A mechanical engineer designs, develops, and manages mechanic solutions to be applied to mechanical equipment. A mechanical engineers cooperate with other R&D depts in the designing phase and in every consequent phase of product development. The mechanical engineer has also responsibility of troubleshooting and testing of the final product. Estimation of the overall project/product cost is also part of the job. The engineers make all required modifications and troubleshoot problem areas, follow safety regulations, and provide a detailed record of the project. He/she shall be able to use FEA Ansys software or Cosmos FEA integrated in Solid Work Professional to execute FEM structural calculations
Main responsibilities
- Design, capital equipment (machinery) both mechanical and hydraulic
- Responsible for detailed design specifications and other documents in their creation
- Design, engineer, test and troubleshoot
- Provide detailed documentation including design specifications that enable production or the application of their products
- Streamline operations for efficiency, cost saving, safety and reliability
- Maintain technical project files
- Implementing and testing design concepts
Requirements
- Ability with echanical engineering
- Able to use 3D Cad (Solid Work & Inventor would be perfect)
- Able to use Ansys (Solid Work FEA Cosmos in Solid Work Professional)
- Able to embrace new techniques and technologies
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform system tests
- Able to work in a development team
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Be ready to travel and work by remote with colleagues located in Brazil and China
