Job Description
As a Senior Engineer/Principal Engineer in FE CPIE RDA Defect Engineering at Micron, you will play a crucial role in improving our manufacturing capabilities. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to enhance defectivity for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) and achieve outstanding defect performance. Your main responsibility will be to work with global peer groups to improve manufacturing performance, implement solutions, and measure performance standards.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Collaborate To Provide and Improve Manufacturing Capability
- Facilitate and drive to ensure strategic alignment and roadmap achievement.
- Supervise and track performance metrics, ensuring alignment and accountability.
- Prioritize resources to close performance gaps.
- Leverage Copy Smart Team (CST) and SWAT teams to meet timelines and commitments.
Business Process Management
- Manage your areas of responsibility according to Central Team programs and business processes.
- Provide recommendations to improve and optimize these programs and processes.
- Lead and coordinate project tasks and priorities in your area(s) of responsibility.
Project Management
- Prioritize and manage numerous projects aligning with Fab and corporate objectives.
- Move projects through lifecycle stages effectively.
- Encourage collaborators and project team members to take ownership.
- Set metrics for evaluating project success and maintain a portfolio that improves return on investment.
Strategic Leadership
- Track and benchmark Fab Performance metrics, sharing Best Known Methods (BKM) across sites.
- Provide active mentorship and leadership to Copy Smart Teams (CST).
- Support Supplier Quality Engineering within your responsibilities.
- Champion team spirit, willingness, and address team dynamics positively.
Tactical Leadership
- Support Fabs tactically on People, Safety, Yield, Quality, Cost, and Cycle Time.
- Coordinate CST activities and implement necessary changes.
- Cultivate positive relationships with peer groups and external suppliers.
- Champion a culture of information exchange across all sites and ensure effective communication among team members.
Training and Development
- Know the latest Fab manufacturing processes and business practices.
- Set and pursue clear, measurable personal development and performance goals.
- Use the expertise of mentors and actively engage in relevant training to improve skills.
- Encourage a safe working environment and address safety concerns promptly.
Education
Required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering.
Experience
Required
- Minimum 3 years experience in Senior Engineer or equivalent positions in Manufacturing or R&D operations.
Desired
- 1 year experience in Management/Leadership roles.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to handle sophisticated situations and apply resources effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of Process and Equipment, with experience across multiple areas being a plus.
- Excellent English skills and ability to lead global teams.
- Demonstrated successful leadership and performance excellence.
- Recognized as an effective mentor, team builder, and problem solver.
