Your role in helping us shape the future:
As the FDS Application Engineer, you will work on upgrading the Intelsat software package for our upcoming satellite series, enhancing our testing architecture, and developing Python-based visualization tools for our web-based services.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily operations performing station-keeping maneuver planning and mission related tasks.
  • Upgrade and enhance application software for satellite operations, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Continuous improve the current testing architecture to meet the evolving needs of our projects. Expand coverage of unit tests and regression tests.
  • Application development to support safe and efficient satellite operations
  • Daily operation responsibilities
  • Support on-call responsibilities


You should definitely have:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • Basic programming and scripting language: Python and Perl
  • Good knowledge in Excel and Matlab.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment (internal & external)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, evenings and holidays
  • This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee)


It would be nice if you had:

  • Prior Flight dynamic knowledge and experience
  • Experience and understanding in database structure.
  • Experience with various software testing paradigms including unit test, regression test, component test, acceptance test and so on
