FINANCIAL CRIME COMPLIANCE 


Assist the Unit Head and Team Lead to:


  • Spport and run the development and management of all group-level financial crime compliancerelated policies and procedures (Group FCC P&P).
  • Undertake regular reviews and revisions of Group FCC P&P to ensure that they fully comply with, and reflect the compliance requirements of, all relevant Malaysian laws and regulations in relation to financial crime compliance, including, in particular BNM policy documents, FAQs, guidance notes and ‘Dear CEO’ letters as issued/amended from time to time. 
  • Review and approve/reject any dispensation or variation requests in respect of Group FCC P&P, including from Group Regional operations. 
  • Ensure that gap analyses and risk assessments are performed timely by the relevant stakeholders in respect of any changes to such laws and regulations, and that appropriate systems, processes and controls are implemented to ensure full compliance with relevant anti-financial crime requirements. 
  • Provide second line of defence oversight of financial crime compliance in the bank, including timely, practical advice on financial crime issues arising, as required.
  • Perform periodic and/or targeted reviews to identify areas/portfolios of concern in respect of particular financial crime risk themes.

  • Work jointly with Compliance colleagues and RCU and DCOROs on new products and processes, business initiatives and projects, and ensure that stakeholders implement appropriate systems, processes and controls to meet financial crime compliance obligations.
  • Collaborate with other GFCC colleagues to ensure that the principles and requirements in Group FCC P&P are well operationalised within the systems, processes and controls of GFCC.
  • Prepare periodic management and/or Board reporting on financial crime matters, as appropriate.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that all internal and external reporting timelines are fully complied with.
  • Provide, and/or coordinate the provision of information and monitoring of any corrective and remedial actions in internal and external assurance, audit or other validation exercises in respect of financial crime compliance.
  •  
  • Work with Learning & Development (Group Human Resources) to develop/review learning materials and ensure that colleagues performing functions relevant to financial crime compliance receive appropriate training as required.
  • Regional operations – assist with the oversight of financial crime compliance of regional operations, in accordance with the Regional Target Operating Model, by closely liaising with regional compliance officers and their teams.
  • Other duties as directed by the Head of Department and/or direct supervisor.
