About the Role
The FCC Business Finance Leader serves as the senior finance partner to FCC leadership and owns the integrated financial view of the business. This role leads planning, forecasting, performance management, and decision support while helping the business deliver its financial commitments. The ideal candidate brings significant business finance and P&L leadership experience, strong commercial and operational judgment, and the ability to influence decisions across the organization. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Finance Leadership 

  • Serve as the senior finance partner to FCC leadership, providing an objective financial perspective on strategy, performance, and priorities. 
  • Own the integrated financial view of the FCC business, connecting commercial, operational, functional, and cash performance.
  • Translate business strategy into financial plans, performance measures, and resource allocation priorities.
  • Provide clear recommendations to leadership on financial implications, risks, opportunities, and tradeoffs.

Planning, Forecasting & Commitments 

  • Lead annual planning, periodic forecasting, and long-range financial planning for the FCC business. 
  • Establish clear financial assumptions, targets, and accountabilities in partnership with business and functional leaders.
  • Monitor performance against commitments and drive timely actions to address gaps or capture opportunities.
  • Ensure forecasts reflect current business conditions, operational realities, commercial outlook, and key risks.

Performance Management & P&L Oversight 

  • Lead financial performance reviews and provide insights into revenue, margin, costs, working capital, cash, and other P&L drivers. 
  • Analyze results across products, customers, regions, and operations to identify performance trends and value-creation opportunities.
  • Partner with Commercial and Operations Finance to integrate pricing, profitability, manufacturing economics, inventory, and capital insights.
  • Promote disciplined performance management and accountability for delivery of financial commitments.

Decision Support & Value Creation 

  • Lead financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, investments, commercial opportunities, and operational decisions. 
  • Develop scenarios and business cases that clarify expected returns, sensitivities, and risks.
  • Challenge assumptions constructively and ensure decisions are supported by rigorous financial analysis.
  • Identify and advance opportunities to improve profitable growth, cost performance, cash generation, and return on investment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, including significant business finance and P&L leadership experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading planning, forecasting, performance management, and decision support for a business or business unit.
  • Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, commercial, and operational performance drivers.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and partner effectively across business, commercial, operations, and finance functions.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and translate insights into practical actions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or relevant professional certification, such as an MBA, CPA, or CMA. 
  • Experience in fluid catalytic cracking, catalysts, specialty chemicals, petrochemicals, refining, or another complex business-to-business environment.
  • Experience leading finance teams across multiple locations or regions.
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems, planning platforms, and business intelligence tools.
  • Demonstrated success improving business performance, financial predictability, cash generation, or P&L delivery.
