Job Description:
A position as Signature Management Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join EME, Antenna Systems and Signatures Engineering SP department.
Tasks and accountabilities:
Development of state-of-the-art electromagnetic tools. Based on advanced algorithms and efficient implementations. Developing solutions based on methods like: method of moments (MoM), ray tracing (RT), multilevel fast multipole method (MFMM), adaptive cross approximation (ACA), hierarchical matrices (H-matrix), finite element methods (FEM), and others used in electromagnetic tools such as time domain techniques (finite difference in time domain (FDTD)). Implementation of solutions to run in high performance computing environments (MPI/OPENMP/GPU).
Knowledge and skills:
- Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Physics with focus on Electromagnetics and High Frequency techniques
- Strong background in electromagnetism theory and physics.
- Strong knowledge in computational electromagnetics (CEM) and numerical methods (MoM, RT, MFMM, ACA, H-matrix, FEM, FDTD).
- Programing of tools/scripts: Python, Fortran, C++, MPI, OpenMP, GPU.
- User of complex and advanced tools for electromagnetic simulation and modelling. CAD management, computational tools and post-processing.
- Working on the state-of-the-art of signature (mainly radar and infrared) modelling techniques, and the physics underneath.
- Signature measurement data processing algorithm design, such as ISAR.
- Good Technical skills, familiar with R/T and R& projects.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as being active part of a team.
- Ability to overcome difficulties in the development of the projects.
