Who you are:

As a Fair and Responsible Lending Development Manager – Consumer with Frost, you are our subject matter expert, providing guidance and support on fair, responsible, and compliant lending practices. You will help bring value to the organization by promoting awareness and understanding of fair lending expectations through training, communication, and stakeholder engagement. You have a servant leadership mindset, a passion for people, and will provide advisement to our consumer lending teams. More than that, this role is about collaboration and building relationships and doing so with integrity, caring, and excellence in mind.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as an embedded advisor to consumer lending teams, providing day-to-day guidance on fair, responsible, and compliant consumer lending practices

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Credit, Pricing, Marketing, Operations, and other stakeholders to support product design, enhancements, and change initiatives

  • Identify, assess, and help manage fair lending and consumer risks, supporting first line ownership through risk assessments, controls, and issue management

  • Advise on fair and responsible lending considerations across the full consumer product lifecycle, including underwriting, pricing, marketing, servicing, and loss mitigation

  • Support regulatory readiness by aligning business practices with policies and partnering with Compliance, Legal, and Risk during exams and audits

  • Contribute to financial inclusion and responsible banking initiatives by translating principles into practical consumer-focused processes and improvements

  • Promote awareness and understanding of fair lending expectations through training, communication, and stakeholder engagement

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience in consumer banking or a related financial services role

  • Working knowledge of consumer fair lending and consumer protection laws and expectations

  • Experience partnering with business teams in a first line or embedded advisory capacity

  • Strong judgment and the ability to balance risk management with business execution

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse stakeholder groups

  • High ethical standards and a commitment to responsibility, complaint, and inclusive banking practices

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting consumer lending products such as mortgage, auto loans, personal loans, or credit cards

  • Experience in fair lending, compliance, CRA, or risk management

  • Experience implementing controls, processes, or governance within a business environment

  • Familiarity with regulatory exams, audits, and first line issue management practices

  • Exposure to financial inclusion or responsible banking initiatives

  • A demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams to deliver practical, business-aligned solutions
