We're Hiring: FADEC Engineer – Digital Engine Control
Full time | Core team
LAT Aerospace | Gas Turbine Engines
At LAT Aerospace, we’re building India’s first clean-sheet hybrid-electric STOL aircraft and a next-generation family of gas-turbine engines. We’re looking for a FADEC Systems Engineer who can design and implement the full-authority digital engine control system for our GTE program, including sensing, control logic and embedded software for GTE actuation, protection and safety architecture. You will own the digital brain of the engine. This role directly influences safety, performance, reliability, and certifiability of the entire propulsion system.
What you’ll do?
Sensing & Signal Processing:
Integrate engine sensors (temperature, pressure, vibration, speed).
Build clean signal chains: filtering, ADC paths, isolation.
Controls & Algorithms:
Implement fuel/ignition/start logic, transient control, and protection loops.
Build state-machine behaviour for all engine phases.
Actuation & Safety:
Control fuel pumps/meters, ignition hardware, solenoids/servo drivers.
Implement safety interlocks, watchdogs, redundancy.
Embedded Software:
Develop real-time ECU/FADEC firmware on DSP/ARM.
Bonus: FPGA for safety logic or signal processing.
Integration & Testing:
Support HIL/EIL setups and test-stand calibration.
Work with mechanical/combustion teams to align FADEC with engine limits.
What we're looking for?
Strong experience with FADEC or embedded engine control.
Deep understanding of real-time control, digital signal processing, and sensor
acquisition systems.
Experience with DSP/ARM/FPGA-based embedded systems.
Understanding of actuation systems (fuel, ignition, solenoids).
Education: Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Control Systems, or related
discipline preferred.
Bonus: FPGA programming experience for signal processing or redundancy paths.
Why LAT?
Core team opportunity at a high-conviction deep-tech startup
Build India’s next-generation GTEs - the kind that India has never seen before
Work in an environment where hardware development moves fast, ownership is high, and engineering matters

What We Do
Imagine a world where flying is as easy as taking a bus. A world where air travel isn't just for the major cities, but for everyone, everywhere. No more congested hubs, no more wasted hours in security lines—just seamless, affordable, on-demand flights connecting thousands of destinations that the world has ignored for too long.
We are building the future of mass aviation: a network of high-frequency, low-cost, 8 seater, STOL (short take-off and landing), medium-haul aircraft that make every city, every town, and every community accessible—without compromise.
Powered by next-generation aircraft, designed ground-up for efficiency, built for affordability, and future-proofed for autonomy, we are aiming to rewrite the rules of flight.
Our aircraft will take off and land in compact "air-stops" no bigger than a parking lot—no baggage belts, no security bottlenecks—eliminating the need for complex, expensive airport infrastructure that regional air travel simply doesn't require.
No more waiting. No more detours. No more being forced to drive when you should be able to fly. This isn't the impractical supersonic future of aviation as you are made to believe. This is the real future of aviation that our communities need.
