The Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking a Factory Lab Supervisor in Twin Falls, ID. This position will directly supervise the factory laboratory at the Twin Falls, ID facility. Primary job functions will include process material balancing/accounting and performance reporting, budget preparation and management, crew selection and training, chemical preparation, instrument maintenance and calibration, and process improvement investigation and testing.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all team members follow the safety protocols and policies, as directed by the Safety Department.
- Ensure that all team members have the tools necessary to work effectively and efficiently.
- Manage a team consisting of up to 30 hourly employees, working 24/7 on rotating 12-hour shifts.
- Assist the Operating Department in solving or investigating process and/or product quality problems, as related to laboratory analysis.
- Assist in the training and development of both technical and non-technical staff as related to factory operations and process analytics.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in laboratory operations.
- 3-5 years of personnel and/or project management/leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrated exceptional troubleshooting abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to communicate both orally as well as in writing.
- Significant knowledge of standard quality and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret safety information & placards.
