This position is within the ISAT Seismic Bracing Division which has been established to develop, execute, and process the manufacturing bill of materials process for the Tomarco Company. This Corporate position is responsible for all bill of material processes and procedures, executing BOM’s for all areas except CEAS, new item number creation and monthly labor rates adjustment and reporting for La Mirada each month.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support all aspects of the fabrication business for Tomarco from quotation through production and delivery.
- Completes take offs and develop quotes for all Fabrication Orders.
- Creates, processes, and reconciles all manufacturing bills of material for the fabrication business for all orders manufactured in La Mirada.
- Processes BOM’s for fabrication, cycle time for BOM’s should never exceed 2 business days after order completion.
- Sends out daily fabrication forecast.
- Orders materials in support of the fabrication business.
- Obtains quotes from suppliers for fabrication business.
- Prepares paperwork and supporting documents as required.
- Prints paperwork, labels and other documents as needed to support the fabrication business.
- Processes all fabrication orders as needed with support from manufacturing coordinator.
- Oversees the bill of material creation, executing and processing each month.
- Prepares monthly bills of materials reports to management.
- Ensures timely cost accounting as required on all inventory aspects.
- Provides managers and departments with bill of materials information required to operate their areas of responsibility.
- Develops quality control procedures for the fabrication business and ensures all orders are QC’d before shipment.
- Acts as key point of contact for all fabrication business related topics for all Tomarco sites.
- Will oversee provisions for training and training documentation for fabrication and related transactions/procedures.
- Responsible for the planning, installation, maintenance and servicing of the devices, machinery, and equipment in the department pursuant to the legal regulations in force.
- Responsible for developing, communicating, and training of operational and working instructions.
- Responsible for reporting any suspicious activity.
- Performing other duties assigned to you.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, and SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of industrial equipment and tooling
- Familiarity with root cause analysis and process engineering
- Previous experience in fabrication, or welding
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
