Position Overview
The Fabric Cutting Machine Operator position is a crucial part of the production process. We are looking for an operator with similar experience that can help cut various types of fabric to feed production lines. This is a day shift position that works Monday-Thursday 5:00am to 3:00pm and a night shift position that works Monday-Thursday 3:00pm to 1:30am (OT may be required Fridays and some Saturdays as needed)
What you'll do
Rolls of fabric that need to cut are about 1ft thick and 16ft long, candidate must be able to lift upwards of 50lbs to load the rolls onto the machine
Will receive the cutting orders in the system and use an RF scanner as needed
Will be making several cuts per hour
Must inspect the fabric and ensure the quality of the fabric meets the company's standards
Will be performing certain math equations to ensure the correct fabric sizes are cut
Will be using the tape measure for each cut
Must communicate any issues with fabric or systems promptly
All other duties as assigned
Who you are
Have at least 1-2 years of experience working in a similar role
Have the ability to lift up to 50lbs throughout a 10 hour shift
Capable of standing for extended periods of time
Can follow written and verbal instructions
Have attention to detail
Good communication skills
