In order to support our rapid growth we are seeking to hire an experienced F&B Cost Controller.

Position Summary

The F&B Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling all costs within the hotel to ensure financial efficiency and profitability. This role ensures that costs are aligned with the hotel's financial strategy and budget, optimizing resource utilization while maintaining service quality and guest satisfaction. The F&B Cost Controller will work closely with various departments to drive cost-effective strategies and contribute to the overall success of the hotel.

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities 
  • Analyze all hotel expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
  • Implement and maintain cost control systems to track food, beverage, and operational expenses.
  • Work closely with department heads to establish and monitor budget allocations and financial targets.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory, scheduled (monthly) and unscheduled as per needs, purchase orders, and supplier contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and contracts to prevent overbilling or discrepancies.
  • Monitor and control stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory management to minimize waste and losses.
  • Prepare and present detailed cost reports, variance analysis, and financial recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Maintains effective communication with hotel managers and the Head of Cost Controlling.
  • Collaborate with procurement and operational teams to enhance cost efficiency in all hotel operations.
  • Assist in forecasting and financial planning by providing accurate cost data and insights. 
  • Ability to travel frequently to the hotel properties within the group / destination, depending on business needs.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost control, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel financial operations, cost structures, and procurement processes.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel, financial software, and hotel management systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and vendors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in financial software and hotel management systems

Skills Required
