Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an F-18 Maintenance Control to support the F-18 program at Naval Air Station (NAS) Joint Reserve Base (JRB) New Orleans in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Leads, plans, organizes and controls the maintenance and repairs and the release of F-18 aircraft.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts and travel for detachments.
  • Incumbent shall supervise and coordinate maintenance efforts on assigned shift, to meet the daily flight schedule.
  • Serve as subject matter expert to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on matters pertaining to polices, plans and objectives.
  • This incumbent must possess a level of experience necessary to inspect all aircraft assigned, certify Aircraft/Engine Logbook entries, and coordinate maintenance control responsibilities.
  • Must possess O-level experience as a maintenance control supervisor F-18.
  • Must have a thorough working knowledge of the Naval Aviation Logistic Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS).
  • Candidate must currently hold and maintain "Safe for Flight" certification.
  • Candidate must have good communication skills both orally and written.
  • Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
  • Inspect the aircraft to certify that all maintenance performed by the team is correct and complete.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at NAS JRB New Orleans in Belle Chasse, LA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Candidate must currently hold and maintain "Safe for Flight" certification.
  • F-18 experience is required, with experience as a CDQAR/CDI qualification and leadership required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in military fighter aircraft maintenance
  • Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with recent aircraft organizational level maintenance is required.
  • Read, interpret and use manufacturers and aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, blueprints, wiring/schematic diagrams, data tables and other specifications to determine feasibility and method to repair or replace malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Fighter Structural modification experience
  • Fighter Electrical modification experience

Summary Pay Range: 83,300 - 112,700
