Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Field Service Representative to support the F/A-18 E/F Aircraft based out of Pensacola, Florida with regular travel throughout the year.
You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.
Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements.
Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support will include aircraft maintenance testing and troubleshooting, technical training, and engineering reach back support
- Travel occasionally to meet customer needs
- Avionics systems support includes but is not limited to; Infrared Search and Track (IRST), Mission computers and displays, communication and navigation equipment, sensors and cueing systems, weapons and weapon control systems, video systems, electronic warfare systems, electronic flight controls, aircraft electrical systems, and the electrical portion of ECS and fuel systems
- Leads technical field support of company products
- Performs troubleshooting procedures for multiple systems and specialty coverage
- Resolves maintenance and operational issues
- Monitors product performance and makes recommendations for resolution of potential issues
- Analyzes technical data and evaluates maintenance procedures
- Develops and conducts ad hoc training
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with avionics system repair testing and troubleshooting on military platforms
- Experience interfacing with internal and external senior leadership
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency
- At the sole discretion of leadership, employees must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs. Failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation. (Must be able to maintain and possess a current US passport for international travel)
- At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Failure to relocate will be considered as a resignation
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Previous experience in field service representative support of military customer is desired
- Previous experience leading aviation maintenance teams is beneficial to the successful candidate is desired
- F-18 experience is preferred
- Strong avionic background in troubleshooting complex discrepancies on fixed wing aircraft is desired
