Job Summary 

Tilray is seeking an Extraction Associate to join our Extraction & Refinement team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out daily production tasks across multiple work centers, including but not limited to: ethanol extraction, butane extraction, crystallization, distillation, encapsulation, dry sifting, hash pressing, dilutions, and topicals. You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations while maintaining high quality standards. Successful candidates will have the opportunity for career growth, with potential promotions to Extraction Technician and Senior Extraction Technician following training. Weekend shifts may be required based on production demand 

Shift: 12-hour night shifts, (Week One: Monday - Wednesday, Week Two: Monday - Thursday)

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work both independently and collaboratively to achieve production goals 
  • Ensure a safe and productive work environment for all team members 
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Production Practices (GPP)   
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors 
  • Report incidents such as inventory discrepancies, accidents, equipment failures, and non-conformances 
  • Produce cannabis extracts and derivative products in various work centers 
  • Handle hazardous solvents and materials safely 
  • Track and report inventory of raw materials and consumables 
  • Sample products for analytical testing 
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management 

Qualifications 

  • Undergraduate degree in science, engineering, engineering technology, or related field 
  • Minimum two years of production experience in a regulated industry 
  • Strong mathematical and computational skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word 
  • Knowledge of chemical unit operations and equipment fundamentals  
  • Botanical extraction experience is considered an asset  
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50lbs repeatedly 
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended durations 
  • Ability to work in classified hazardous areas 

Compensation: $23.00/hr
