Join our team as an External Reporting Analyst, where you'll play a crucial role in overseeing financial statements and management reporting. You'll ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements while working in a dynamic environment that values collaboration and innovation.
As an External Reporting Analyst, you will handle the oversight of financial statements and management reporting, ensuring a sound control environment. You'll apply accounting treatments and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements, coordinate the preparation of quarterly regulatory requirements, and validate balance sheet items. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your contributions will have a significant impact.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Participate in various aspects of production, review, and filing of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports for regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate data collection and quarterly business results with various lines of business, Regulatory Controllers, and SEC reporting teams.
  • Consolidate, review, and analyze quarterly financial data for accuracy and completeness; perform quarter-over-quarter variance analytics.
  • Adhere to various control procedures and edit checks to ensure the integrity of reported financial results.
  • Assist in the thorough assessment of issues and outcomes, and clearly communicate financial information to the lines of businesses, flagging potential issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts around data quality review and external reporting improvement projects.
  • Apply up-to-date product/industry/market knowledge in specialty areas of reporting.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • University degree in Finance/Accounting or a similar field.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong Excel and computer skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong skills in time management, problem-solving, written and oral communication.
  • Team player, with the ability to work effectively across diverse functions, locations, and businesses.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • Experience in Product Control, Financial Control, or knowledge of SEC reporting/Reg reporting.
  • Practical experience with automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Xceptor).
