Our client, the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL), is an agency of the European Union dedicated to developing, implementing and coordinating training for law enforcement officials. The Centre is located in Budapest, Hungary. Civitta in cooperation with with I-DEAL Informatikai, Szolgáltató és Kereskedelmi Kft. is providing temporary staffing services to the agency.
External Relations Assistant
As an External Relations Assistant at CEPOL, you will be providing administrative, analytical, and logistical support to the External Relations Officer. Working under the supervision of the Head of Sector, you will play a key role in monitoring EU policy developments, maintaining stakeholder networks, drafting high-level briefing materials, and supporting event coordination both at the Budapest HQ and the Brussels Liaison Office.
You will:
- Review and assess EU policies relevant to CEPOL, highlighting potential impacts and changes
- Monitor stakeholder developments to support the External Relations team
- Prepare the RELEX sub-strategy Action Plan and other requested documents
- Serve as day-to-day contact for the JHA Agencies Network, coordinating inputs and drafting common documents
- Maintain and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Draft letters, briefing notes, and speeches for high-level strategic meetings
- Coordinate invitations for key EU-level meetings with the Brussels Liaison Officer
- Assist with organizing events at CEPOL HQ and the Brussels office
- Prepare meeting minutes, notes, and reports under supervisor guidance
- Maintain RELEX websites and digital folders, archiving electronic documents
Requirements:
- University degree of at least 3 years of study
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in international relations, policy document analysis, or drafting high-level event briefings/speeches
- Proven experience in organizing high-level meetings and stakeholder visits
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills; excellent data administration capability; high attention to detail and problem-solving focus
- Proficiency in MS Office (particularly MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint) and experience with office management systems
- Excellent command of English (B2 level or higher)
