As a External Regulatory Reporting Analyst within the Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) External Reporting Production team, you will be responsible for end-to-end processing and reporting activities for Investment Securities and Securitization across key U.S. regulatory reports including FR Y-9C, Call Report, and CCAR. You will manage critical BAU activities — from data sourcing and validation to adjustments processing and reconciliations — while partnering closely with line of business controllers, financial control, product controllers, and Risk & Finance Technology teams. You will also identify and execute process improvements to existing tools and procedures, support business users of the FRI application, and contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen the firm's regulatory reporting infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute daily BAU activities including data sourcing, data validation, completeness checks, adjustments processing, and reconciliations for regulatory reports
- Collaborate closely with line of business controllers, financial control, and product controllers to ensure reporting accuracy and alignment
- Support business users of the FRI application by resolving user queries and troubleshooting issues in a timely manner
- Identify and implement process improvements to the existing operating model, tools, and procedures to drive efficiency and reduce risk
- Interact regularly with controllers, report owners, and Risk & Finance Technology (RFT) partners to ensure seamless reporting workflows
- Escalate issues promptly to the appropriate teams and management when risks or discrepancies are identified
- Partner with the projects team through full project life cycles impacting the FRI platform and regulatory reporting processes
- Validate data integrity and completeness across multiple sources to ensure regulatory submissions meet quality standards
- Prioritize and balance multiple concurrent activities under tight regulatory deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Contribute to strategic initiatives supporting FR Y-9C, Call Report, and CCAR reporting enhancements
- Maintain thorough documentation of processes, adjustments, and issue resolutions to support audit readiness and knowledge continuity
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent experience)
- 1 year of business, finance or accounting or industry experience
- Understanding of financial statements, accounting procedures, internal and external reporting, and variance analysis
- Knowledge of Regulatory reporting and related requirements
- Ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously with tight deadlines, demonstrating excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Apply working knowledge of U.S. regulatory reporting requirements, including familiarity with FR Y-9C, Call Report, or CCAR frameworks
- Utilize Alteryx or similar data automation tools to streamline reporting and data transformation workflows
- Demonstrate experience working with regulatory reporting platforms or enterprise financial infrastructure applications
- Identify and execute process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, or strengthen controls
- Navigate cross-functional stakeholder environments, building productive relationships with controllers, technology teams, and report owners
- Operate effectively in a large, matrixed financial institution with an understanding of how regulatory reporting fits within the broader finance organization
- Leverage SQL, Power Query, or other data extraction tools to support data sourcing and validation activities
