External Finance Consultant (Maternity Cover)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Finance Consultant to provide maternity cover for a key finance colleague. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing China tax filing, statutory adjustments, and supporting audit processes, while also quickly learning and handling Southeast Asia tax requirements under the guidance from the senior colleague.

Contract Type: Temporary (Maternity Cover)
Duration: 8-10 months Start Date: March 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance
- Prepare and file monthly tax data in the China tax system.
- Ensure timely submission and compliance with local tax regulations.
- Quickly learn and handle Southeast Asia tax requirements under the guidance of the senior colleague.
- Accounting & Reporting
- Perform local book adjustments and support external audit processes end-to-end.
- Prepare statutory reports required by government authorities.
- Intercompany Reconciliation
- Ad hoc projects
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in multinational corporations (MNCs).
- Proficiency in English is required to communicate effectively in a multinational environment.
- Proven expertise in China tax compliance, VAT, and CIT filings.
- Excellent Excel skills and ability to handle complex data sets.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tax regimes (Singapore, Indonesia).
