The Role

Shape the future of CIMIC’s ESG reporting and stakeholder engagement strategy to enhance our reputation as an industry leader in sustainability and stakeholder relationships.

The working location of this role is flexible from any CIMIC office location in Australia. We are currently only accepting internal applications for this position. 
About the role

The Stakeholder Engagement Manager supports CIMIC’s ESG reporting and stakeholder engagement strategy. This key role within the Corporate Affairs & Communications function is responsible for enhancing CIMIC’s reputation as an industry leader in sustainability and stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities include end-to-end management of allocated ESG related reports. The role also manages allocated stakeholder engagement initiatives that support CIMIC’s government and key stakeholder relations activities, as well as industry participation activities. In addition, the role manages publications and content creation as requested.

The position requires project management experience and excellent writing and publication skills, along with advanced capabilities across digital communication platforms and channels utilised by CIMIC.


Key responsibilities

Manage delivery of allocated ESG reports for internal and external stakeholders

  • Project manage end-to-end delivery of allocated ESG reports across planning, content development, imagery, production, approval and publication phases
  • Ensure reports meet internal and external requirements
  • Drive the review and continuous improvement of reports
  • Establish/consolidate an efficient digital record keeping approach for ESG reporting

Manage engagement initiatives for government relations and industry participation

  • Manage initiatives related to stakeholder relations addressing business growth objectives and initiatives
  • Monitor and provide advisory on evolving government legislation and policy and client and industry priorities
  • Deliver Executive Leadership tools including briefing papers and presentations
  • Meet industry body requirements for policy paper contributions
  • Establish/consolidate an efficient digital record keeping and reporting approach for stakeholder relations and industry participation
  • Support CIMIC ESG communications
  • Develop, manage and deliver communication campaigns and content as required across CIMIC platforms.

Build strong partnerships

  • Maintain effective working relationships with external stakeholders
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with peers, colleagues, managers, executives and operating companies across the Group

Leadership

  • Share knowledge, ideas and support colleagues to deliver CIMIC objectives
  • Demonstrate professional, ethical and respectful behaviour

About you

  • Stakeholder engagement experience – with a minimum of seven years in a leadership position
  • Construction, resources or industrial services industry experience
  • Experience developing and delivering ESG related plans, campaigns and reports
  • Experience developing and delivering stakeholder engagement plans, inclusive of government relations and industry engagement
  • Research, analytical and data skills, including making evidence-based recommendations and decisions
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent writing and publication skills across diverse formats
  • Advanced skills across digital communication channels and platforms
