We’re on an exciting digital transformation journey, and we’re looking for a Communication Platforms Manager / Digital Platforms Manager to play a strategic role in elevating how we engage audiences across our digital channels. The working location for this role is flexible from any CIMIC office location in Australia. We are currently only accepting internal applications for this position.
About the role
Sitting within the Corporate Affairs & Communications function, this role leads the development, optimisation and governance of CIMIC’s digital communication platforms and publishing operations. You’ll bring together technology, strategy and storytelling to deliver seamless, audience‑led digital experiences that enhance CIMIC’s brand, reputation and business impact.
As a trusted internal advisor, you will partner with senior leaders, corporate functions, operating companies and project teams to implement smart, scalable digital publishing systems and processes, and champion better ways of working through technology, insights and innovation.
Key responsibilities
Drive digital performance
· Lead enterprise‑wide scheduling and planning of content publishing across owned and influenced channels.
· Manage an always‑on digital communications calendar aligned to business priorities.
· Improve engagement and reach through structured optimisation, analytics and reporting.
· Oversee digital system and platform enhancements, including business cases and delivery.
· Ensure timely resolution of platform and publishing issues.
Build strong partnerships
· Advise Corporate Affairs & Communications teams on digital systems, platforms and publishing operations.
· Collaborate with operating companies, business units and project teams to ensure consistency and quality.
· Work closely with ICT on systems, integrations, governance and approvals.
· Prepare and present data‑driven cases supporting investment in communications platforms.
Lead innovation and best practice
· Champion new communications technologies, including AI‑enabled tools.
· Provide leadership across digital publishing, setting standards and guiding best practice.
· Use data and performance insights to shape channel strategy and audience experience.
· Govern CIMIC’s CMS, CMP, intranet and related digital platforms.
Governance and safety
· Embed governance, security and risk controls across all digital publishing activities.
· Ensure compliance with CIMIC Group communication policies and frameworks.
· Promote a strong culture of safety, wellbeing and accountability.
About you
· Experience leading digital publishing and optimisation in a complex corporate environment.
· Strong capability in digital content planning, workflow tools and channel governance.
· Solid understanding of CMS, CMP, content operations and analytics (Sitecore and Content Hub are highly desirable).
· Experience designing advanced tracking frameworks and reporting using tools like Google Analytics.
· Strong project and change management skills.
· A strategic mindset, exceptional stakeholder management and strong judgement.
· A degree in technology, business or a related field—or equivalent experience.
