The Role
Manage daily LCL export operations, documentation, shipment profitability, KPIs, costs, invoicing instructions, vendors, carriers, forwarders, transporters, and warehouse operators. Ensure compliance with CBP and other government requirements, resolve operational escalations, and maintain customer and partner relationships. Lead hiring, training, motivation, and performance management for the export operations team while driving process improvements and innovation.

The export manager is responsible for managing export operations & documentation team. To implement, enforce and monitor the operation KPIs. To support, review, and control overall cost as well as give instructions to issue invoices.
Manage vendors and subcontractors. The export manager will also be responsible to act as an escalation point to solve all operational issues.

What You'll Do...
- Responsible for day- to- day smooth running of LCL operational activities
- Manage shipments tendered to the company in a timely manner to achieve profitability.
- Establish and manage relationship and rapport with all carriers, forwarders, transporters, warehouse operators etc.
- Ensure activities carried out are adhering to corporate compliance, global/local policies and guidelines;
- Manage and maintain the requirements for export documentation in compliance with CBP and other government agencies
- Actively engage in shipments problem solving
- Responsible for selection and training of team members.
-Lead, motivate and manage the performance of the teams to ensure optimum team and individual performance;

What You'll Need...
- Diploma or Bachelor’ degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management or related field
-Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant managerial experience preferably in Ocean freight forwarding industries
-Good knowledge of LCL Ocean freight forwarding in general
-Willingness to challenge the status quo and to drive innovation and change
-Able to work under pressure and deal with tight dead lines
- Good team player
Knowledge on the following is a plus:
Knowledge of local and international governmental, customs formality, road security and compliance, carrier arrangement, and DG regulations

Skills Required

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant managerial experience, preferably in ocean freight forwarding
  • Knowledge of LCL ocean freight forwarding
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of local and international governmental and customs formalities
  • Knowledge of road security and compliance
  • Knowledge of carrier arrangements
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations
