Job Description:

A detail-oriented and experienced Export Control Coordinator 2 to support global import and export compliance across the semiconductor supply chain. The role ensures adherence to trade regulations across US, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, South Korea, and India, with a focus on controlled technologies, dual-use goods, and high-tech semiconductor products.

You will play a key role in managing product classification, customs documentation, export controls, and regulatory compliance while supporting efficient and compliant global shipments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with global import/export regulations, including EAR, Strategic Goods (Control) Act, and Global Customs Laws
  • Perform and maintain accurate HS Classification and Export Control Classification (ECCN)
  • Review shipments for export control risks, sanctions, and restricted parties
  • Manage customs declarations, permits, and trade documentation (e.g., invoices, COOs, licenses)
  • Support trade compliance processes in system like GTM
  • Conduct compliance checks for end-use, end-user, and technology transfer risks
  • Collaborate with logistics, engineering, legal, and supply chain teams
  • Handle GST Compliance Tasks, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulation
  • Support internal / post audits, regulatory inquiries, and external customs reviews
  • Maintain compliance records, reports, and process documentation
  • Provide guidance and support to team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, International Trade, Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs, or logistics
  • Strong knowledge of global import/export compliance processes, customs documentation, and regulatory frameworks across multiple countries including US, Singapore, and other locations
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor products, equipment, and dual-use technologies, including trade control considerations
  • Working knowledge of databases and trade compliance systems
  • Ability to review, validate, and manage trade documentation (e.g., shipping documents, invoices, permits) and identify compliance risks
  • Knowledge of product classification methodologies, including HS codes and export control frameworks
  • Experience coordinating with logistics providers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and other external stakeholders to ensure compliant shipment execution
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to assess risk and escalate issues appropriately
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for handling internal and external compliance inquiries
  • Team-oriented with the ability to support cross-functional and global teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (advanced), with working knowledge of Power BI, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to global semiconductor supply chains (fab, OSAT, or equipment)
  • Experience with export-controlled technology or regulated products
  • Knowledge of FTAs and customs valuation principles
  • Certification in trade compliance is a plus

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, international trade, engineering, or a related field

  • Understanding of semiconductor products, equipment, dual-use technologies, and trade controls
  • Working knowledge of databases and trade compliance systems
  • Experience reviewing, validating, and managing shipping documents, invoices, permits, and other trade documentation
  • Knowledge of HS codes and export control classification frameworks
  • Experience coordinating with logistics providers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, risk assessment, and escalation skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to support cross-functional and global teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel, with working knowledge of Power BI, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
