The National Security Sector at Leidos has an opening for an Exploitation Specialist/Data Manager & Cataloger - Junior to support our customer in St. Louis, MO.
Job Summary
The Exploitation Specialist will be cataloging, collecting, maintaining and storing the customer’s collection of geospatial and textual products (maps, charts, CDs, DVDs, textual material, intelligence documents, handheld photography and digital datasets), maintain the library collection, and ensure that all products are fully discoverable.
Primary Responsibilities
Digitize hard copy customers records and content.
Perform collection maintenance services, e.g. filing, bar codes, storage, distribution, etc.
Provide collection development support, e.g. recommend material acquisition (expendable replenishment, customer requests, etc.).
Implement declassification guidelines where applicable.
Provide research and support ad hoc projects utilizing multiple databases and special source libraries.
Assists to create and maintain databases, summary data, spreadsheets, and graphic documents.
Assists to develop, assess and communicate website usage and procedures.
Populate Library Systems database and collections.
Support Library of Congress map/chart archiving activity as required.
Adhere to all established customers cataloging guidelines.
Assists to maintain databases and library content including additions, deletions, research, corrections, and cleaning.
Assists in conducting Metadata reviews & verification of data integrity.
Assists to provide Quality Assessment & Management services.
Engage with partner organizations, including the Geospatial Open Content Services Division (SXMT), and appropriate technical and project leads as required.
Basic Qualifications
Typically requires a HS diploma and 2 – 3 years of prior relevant experience.
Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to be approved for a TS/SCI CI Poly
Experience with virus-scanning software and processes.
Demonstrated knowledge of library clerical procedures and practices.
Understanding working with library cataloguing standards.
1-3 years of demonstrated experience maintaining and developing databases.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors in Geographic Information Systems {GIS}, or related body of education
Working knowledge of clerical practices
TS/SCI CI Poly clearance
Ability to remain flexible to changing priorities and requirements from supervisors and customers
Demonstrated experience planning, prioritizing, and managing assignments in a timely manner
Experience with scientific collections
Understanding of library sciences and MARC 21, AACR2R, and RDA standards

Pay Range:Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
