This role provides technical leadership through architecture governance, standards, and mentorship, helping teams build secure, resilient, and scalable solutions. Success is measured by the ability to influence outcomes, align technology decisions with business goals, and foster architectural excellence across the organization.

- Respond promptly to requests for architectural guidance and technical consultation.
- Proactively identify teams, initiatives, or challenges that could benefit from architectural support.
- Facilitate collaboration across application teams to promote knowledge sharing, consistency, and successful project outcomes.
- Leverage AI capabilities where appropriate to improve quality, productivity, innovation, and operational efficiency. Share best practices, lessons learned, and emerging AI opportunities across the CLS architecture community.
- Collaborate with partner organizations across CLS and CSC (e.g., SRE, ET API Services, ET CIAM) to understand, align with, and leverage shared platforms, services, and standards that contribute to application success.
- Continuously evaluate CLS applications, platforms, and development practices to identify opportunities to improve quality, security, performance, resiliency, developer productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Present technical strategies, architecture recommendations, risks, and trade-offs to senior technology and business leaders.
Architecture Community
- Provide architecture leadership across application, integration, data, and platform domains within the CLS portfolio.
- Lead architecture reviews and design assessments to ensure adherence to CLS architectural principles, security standards, and engineering best practices.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, architectural excellence, and continuous improvement.

- Assist with analysis/research projects to produce recommendations, technology evaluations, risk assessments, or strategic recommendations. These efforts frequently inform strategic and technology decisions made by leadership.
- Assist with tactical projects that need assistance and expertise. These can be stand-alone mini-projects or existing projects that require experienced, hands-on assistance to achieve their goal(s).
- Develop and maintain architectural roadmaps that balance business priorities, technical debt reduction, modernization initiatives, and cloud adoption strategies.
