This role requires a highly experienced, full-time Expert SAP EWM Functional Consultant responsible for supporting, executing, and optimizing enterprise warehouse operations. The consultant will focus on the automation of inventory management processes, integration with third-party mobility and barcode scanning systems, and enhancing operational efficiency and data accuracy across an existing warehousing solution deployed across multiple sites. The resource must maintain a clear understanding of urgency and accuracy, demonstrating high performance under high-pressure work situations.

2. Key Deliverables
2.1 User Support & Problem Resolution
  • Investigate and analyze complex warehousing and system problems, identifying resolutions and facilitating implementation.

  • Provide a timeous consultative service to system users.

  • Document solutions, workarounds, and lessons learned.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to business requests via ITSM to ensure system availability.

2.2 Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Plan test scope and optimize warehouse test scenarios.

  • Conduct unit and performance testing of solutions, resolving defects and documenting results.

  • Ensure all test cases are scripted, documented, and passed (or recommend workaround solutions where tests fail).

2.3 Changes & Project Execution
  • Compile detailed functional specification documents.

  • Implement Fiori applications for the warehouse environment.

  • Recommend system and process improvements to achieve project goals.

  • Collaborate with functional owners, architects, developers, and other personnel to develop dynamic and flexible systems.

  • Ensure project completion within estimated timelines and budget constraints.

  • Assist with data migration and sanity checks for projects to achieve zero system audit findings.

2.4 Training & Skills Transfer
  • Conduct structured skills transfer to SAP COE (Center of Excellence) staff.

  • Deliver demonstrations, training sessions, and training content on newly deployed functionality.

  • Compile comprehensive training guides, user guides, and reference documentation.

3. Key Functional Coverage Areas
  • Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) automated inventory management.

  • Third-party mobility and barcode scanning integrations.

  • Multi-site warehouse operational optimization and data accuracy.

4. Governance, Tools & Frameworks
  • Change Management: Adherence to strict change control documentation and governance principles.

  • Solution Management: Utilization of ITSM and ChaRM (Change Request Management) on SAP Solution Manager.

  • Data Management: Execution of LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) and standard data uploads.

  • User Interface: High proficiency leveraging SAP Portal and SAP Fiori interfaces.

  • Project Framework: Alignment with Kanban reporting cycles and JAD (Joint Application Design) sessions.

5. SLA (Service Level Agreement) Framework
  • Reporting: Weekly status reports on changes in progress (submitted by Wednesday end-of-business for Kanban reporting on Thursdays).

  • Bug Fixes: Weekly turnaround and reporting on system bugs.

  • Timesheets: Work will be tracked via approved timesheets; only actual hours worked are billable.

  • Leave & Overtime: Leave days are non-billable. After-hours and weekend work requires prior authorization.

  • Advanced troubleshooting and functional analysis within SAP EWM.

  • Compiling clear functional specifications, change control documents, and test plans.

  • Facilitating JAD sessions and participating actively in project meetings.

  • Conducting ad-hoc investigations and presenting findings/resolutions clearly.

7. Application / Project Experience (MANDATORY)
  • Specialised knowledge of SAP EWM solutions deployed across multi-site warehouse environments.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP solution manager, specifically:

    • Change Management (ChaRM)

    • Service Request management (ITSM)

    • Testing packages and test scripts

  • Broad experience utilizing and deploying solutions via SAP Portal and SAP Fiori.

8. Qualifications & Experience
  • Years of Experience: Application Support Specialist with an average of 10–19 years of experience.

  • Engagement Duration: Available for a 24-month full-time contract engagement (with an immediate/ASAP start).
