We currently have a vacancy for an Expert Product Owner fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Your tasks:
- Manage the implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs, acquiring and using the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality;
- Work within the agile process and be the final authority for decisions regarding priority, business value, and functionality for all the work done by the agile development team;
- Create, maintain, prioritize, and sequence the product backlog based on business value or return of investment;
- Create user stories and acceptance tests from themes and features granular enough for a single sprint/iteration;
- Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and tracks activities against the plan, provide regular and accurate reports;
- Interact and validate requirements with the business/policy unit. Propose solutions by combining IT tools and business process refactoring or improvements based on an in-depth understanding of a specific business domain.
- Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with a minimum of 17 years of relevant working experience in IT;
- At least 5 years of experience in Agile;
- At least 5 years of experience in Project Management;
- At least 5 years of experience with SharePoint;
- At least 5 years of experience in BPMN or UML or other with equivalent value;
- At least 5 years of experience in Wiki and collaborative tools;
- At least 3 years of experience in performing analysis utilizing use-case specifications or user stories;
- At least 3 years of experience in Functional Decomposition or Product Decomposition;
- At least 3 years of experience in Agile toolbox (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, BigPicture, Balsamiq);
- At least 2 years of experience in projects making use of Data Engineering or Data Analytics;
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) OR Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) OR SAFe Product Owner or equivalent is mandatory;
- Experience in business-to-government definitions and related IT systems will be considered as an asset;
- PM2-Agile Certification would be considered an advantage;
- Excellent command of the English language.
