The role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, timely and accurate Reference Data operations across EU markets. It combines operational execution, quality governance, stakeholder management, process improvement and technical expertise to support end-to-end delivery—from retailer data input through to client delivery but primarily focusing on Reference Data Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the team to resolve operational and technical challenges, ensuring new tool enhancements are effectively understood and adopted.
- Lead error-management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities, providing clear issue analysis, corrective actions and timely stakeholder communication.
- Maintain effective communication with onshore teams, clients and cross-functional stakeholders; provide accurate project updates and efficiently manage queries.
- Define, monitor and document process execution, including governance mechanisms to maintain documentation and track exceptions.
- Develop a strong understanding of day-to-day operations, identify automation opportunities and drive continuous process improvements.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency and trendability of Reference Data used across NielsenIQ markets; investigate data-related concerns raised by clients and internal teams.
- Execute Reference Data Operations and project activities, with a clear understanding of the end-to-end production process from retailer receipt to final delivery.
- Deliver assigned work accurately within agreed timelines, while investigating data inquiries and operational challenges with local, regional and offshore teams.
- Support standardization, process efficiency and improvements across methods, applications and operational workflows.
- Provide technical and process expertise across Reference Data, supporting Western European markets in implementing projects effectively.
- Prepare and maintain KPI tracking to monitor quality performance, including Quality Escapes, data accuracy and project delivery discipline.
- Collaborate effectively in a virtual, multicultural environment with colleagues and stakeholders across locations.
- 5–8 years of experience in Operations, Quality Management and/or client-facing roles.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights.
- Ability to explain technical concepts and train stakeholders with varied levels of expertise.
- Strong understanding of KPIs, operational monitoring and quality-performance management.
- Process-oriented mindset with experience defining, refining and improving processes to strengthen quality and on-time delivery.
- Demonstrated organizational, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and project management practices.
- Ability to scope project requirements, manage stakeholder expectations and deliver against agreed objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; preferred fields include Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Commerce or Business Administration.
- Master’s degree in Commerce, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field is preferred.
