Job Description Summary

Establish business value creation applying Advanced Analytics and Data Engineering techniques on a variety of small, medium and big data. Identify and solve scientific, operational and technical challenges, lead and manage solutions from ideation to structural requirements, design, implementation, rollout of the solutions and maintenance.

Job Description

Major accountabilities:

• Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Build and fine-tune algorithms that scale up from small-scale proof-of-concept to full production systems, applying SaaS, R, Python and other tools.
• Understand stakeholder and user requirements
• Structure problem domain and drive/define data, process, functional, and architectural requirements.
• Provide in-depth technical and business knowledge to ensure efficient design, programming and implementation
• Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures 
• Ensure maintenance of the proposed solutions
• Contribute and Lead GenAI/ other AI initiatives

Key performance indicators:

• Contribute to Operational excellence
• Drive the development of digital solutions for ARD/TRD
• Identify innovative solutions
• Investigate use cases and communicate technical and/or business assessment
• Identify and access/collect data and computational resources
• Lead/implement/support the development and evaluation of algorithms and predictions
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders to converge on needs and expectations
• Relevant impact of deployed tools: user adoption, feedback, sponsorship, time savings
• Support ongoing advanced-analytics/digitalization TRD projects
• Integrate activities with the NVS data science ecosystem and gain visibility

Minimum Requirements:

·       Advanced degree in computer science or relevant discipline (Ph.D.); Masters or Bachelors/equivalent with experience

·       3+ years Machine Learning and large data analysis.

·       Hands-on experience with data mining, text mining, its concepts, techniques and implementation.

·       Practical experience in data discovery with large and complex data assets from varied information sources.

·       Experience in statistical/analytics tools such as R, Matlab/Octave, or Python & big data technologies for machine learning based problems.

·       Proficiency using SQL.

·       Knowledge about the Drug Development process, experience with business functions in the areas of pharmaceutical formulation and process development.

·       Exposure to GenAI related projects is an added advantage

·       Project management, organization and planning skills.

·       Demonstrated problem-solving and idea generation skills.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.

·       Excellent presentation skills.

·       Knowledge of Security and Compliance policies and procedures
